I think of this song as maybe Oingo Boingo introduces Dire Straits to Bad Religion at an early 90s rave. A reviewer back in the mp3-com days said the vocals remind them of Gentle Giant.
Well, I do think that same reviewer was right when he said something along the lines of "it's not like anything you've heard around here".
lyrics
ears are burning, all is turning,
victory for all deserving victims
of a life of yearning,
could it be that we are learning?
we choose our own directions,
we make our own corrections;
the point of introspection,
embracing imperfection.
