This started out as an experiment in "subtractive composition", back in the Soundblaster days circa 90-91. I loaded up every possible track the card could make (16 I think) with loops written mostly independent of one another. Turned 'em all on at the same time, then just started removing things until something coherent started to emerge.
8 or 9 years later I slurped a cassette of it into a pair of digital audio tracks in Cakewalk and gussied it up with some juno, drum machine, and samples for release to the internets.
Was once a song-of-the-day or something on the old ubl-com.
lyrics
Bad things happen to good people all the time.
And for no reason.
